Since 1939, each young woman who has been crowned “Miss Goldsboro” has served Goldsboro and Wayne County as a community service ambassador and role model for children, teens, and young women. The Miss Goldsboro Scholarship Pageant is a preliminary to the Miss North Carolina and Miss America programs. The Miss America Scholarship Organization is the largest scholarship provider to young women in the world with over $45 million in educational scholarships made available to contestants each year. Each year, the new Miss Goldsboro and Miss Goldsboro’s Outstanding Teen compete in the Miss North Carolina Pageant in High Point.

The Miss Goldsboro Scholarship Association shares a commitment to guide, mentor, and prepare young women to not only succeed at the state and national level but, most importantly, to become community-minded citizens who strive to achieve their full potential.
